Mogadishu (SONNA)- Commissioner for Security and politics in Deynile district, Abdi Mohamed Mohamud was confirmed dead after sustaining injuries in a landmine explosion in Dar es Salaam neighborhood,in Banadir Region ,SONNA reported.
The late commissioner recently escaped a target planned against him and was spotted not far from the Daynile District headquarters.
Some of his staff are reported to have been injured, but there was no immediate information on their state.
The attack adds to such increasing incidents in Mogadishu amid security situation following the ongoing electoral stalemate.
