Mogadishu, Somalia – The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Saleh Ahmed Jama, chaired an important meeting today between the Federal Government of Somalia and a high-level delegation led by the General Manager of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Development Fund, Mr. Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad. The meeting, held at the Ministry’s headquarters, focused on fortifying cooperation in investment and infrastructure development.

The discussions emphasized the mutual commitment to strengthening economic ties and exploring investment opportunities that would harness Somalia’s vast resources. The delegation reviewed the roles and potential contributions of the Saudi Fund for Development in Somalia’s economic growth, particularly in alignment with the Somali Government’s National Transformation Plan (NTP).

Key topics included investment strategies and infrastructure development, with Somali ministers, experts from the Prime Minister’s Office, and other government agencies presenting detailed plans related to priority projects. These initiatives are designed to accelerate Somalia’s development and reconstruction efforts, requiring robust international investment.

Deputy Prime Minister Saleh Ahmed Jama expressed profound gratitude to the Saudi Fund for Development for its unwavering support. He emphasized the critical importance of continued and enhanced cooperation to achieve shared goals of economic prosperity and national rebuilding.

In response, Mr. Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad reaffirmed the Saudi Fund for Development’s commitment to Somalia. He highlighted ongoing and future investments, pledging continued support for effective and impactful projects that contribute to Somalia’s development.

This high-level meeting marks a significant milestone in Saudi-Somali relations, reflecting a shared vision for a prosperous future.
