Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Salah Ahmed Jama, welcomed a delegation led by the newly elected Chairperson of the African Union, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu.
Chairperson Youssouf, who assumed office in early February 2025, is making his first official visit to Somalia. During his stay, he is scheduled to hold key meetings with the President of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and Prime Minister H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre.
The discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation between Somalia and the African Union, as well as addressing other matters of mutual interest.
