Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Salah Ahmed Jama, chaired a strategic meeting focused on climate change, food security, and the implementation of the National Transformation Plan (NTP 2025–2029).
The discussions centered on reforming Somalia’s food systems and ensuring the safety and quality of imported food products to protect public health. The meeting also emphasized the urgent need to implement sustainable solutions to address the impacts of climate change, aligning national efforts with the long-term goals of the NTP.
Stakeholders explored the establishment of modern systems and regulatory frameworks to build climate resilience and strengthen food governance across the country.
