Mogadishu, SONNA — The Deputy Minister of Planning, Mohamed Abdulkadir, led Somalia’s delegation at the 2025 Board of Trustees meeting of the Arab Planning Institute in Kuwait. The high-level session included the unveiling of the Government Spending Index for Arab countries, a key tool to assess and improve financial transparency and efficiency across the region.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Abdulkadir engaged with regional counterparts to discuss strategies for fostering sustainable development. He also held a bilateral meeting with API Director General Abdalla Shami, focusing on strengthening the institute’s technical and strategic support for Somalia’s development goals.
The Deputy Minister emphasized Somalia’s commitment to enhancing collaboration with regional institutions like the API to accelerate the country’s economic and development priorities. This participation reflects Somalia’s active engagement in regional initiatives that align with its national development agenda.
