Brasília, (SONNA) — The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Sahra Yusuf Ige, officially participated in the 2nd Brazil-Africa Dialogue on Food Security, the Fight Against Hunger, and Rural Development, held in the Brazilian capital from May 20–22.
The high-level forum brought together delegations from numerous African countries, international organizations, and development agencies to explore enhanced cooperation in agriculture, technology, and research. The discussions focused on implementing effective policies to combat hunger and poverty across the African continent.
Somalia’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to global and regional efforts aimed at achieving sustainable food systems, advancing rural livelihoods, and building resilience in the face of growing food insecurity.
