Mogadishu, SONNA – The Deputy Commissioner of the Somali Police Force, General Osman Abdullahi Mohamed (Kaniif), received the Deputy Commander of the Federal Police of Ethiopia, Mr. Musfin Abebe Badeye, who arrived in Mogadishu on Thursday. Mr. Badeye came to join the 80th anniversary celebrations of the Somali Police Force, which was founded on 20 Dec 1943.
The two police chiefs discussed the importance of cooperation between the Somali and Ethiopian police forces, especially in the areas of counter-terrorism, border security, and crime prevention. They also exchanged views on the current security situation in the region and the challenges faced by the law enforcement agencies.
