Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, today received Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain Sadozai, the Director of Mission Support for the United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) , at his office.
The meeting focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between the Ministry of Defence and UNSOS. They specifically discussed support for security operations, equipping the Somali National Army (SNA), and enhancing the capacity of the country’s security institutions.
Minister Fiqi thanked UNSOS for its vital role in providing non-lethal logistical support to the armed forces and for its contributions to the successes achieved in the fight against the terrorist groups.
