Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, today held a meeting in his office with members of the diaspora community, led by Chief Aqil Macow Omar Mohamed and Prof. Abdullahi Mohamed Adan (Salaamullah).
The discussion focused on the role of the diaspora in contributing to the national campaign to liberate the country from Al-Shabaab, and in providing meaningful support to the Armed Forces, particularly by assisting the families of fallen soldiers.
Minister Fiqi expressed his appreciation for the continued solidarity shown by the diaspora and their commitment to national progress. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to work closely with all citizens who seek to play an active role in defending the nation and strengthening public institutions
