Mogadishu, (SONNA) – Danab Commandos of the Somali National Army (SNA) and the Jubbaland forces have successfully carried out a large-scale operation against militant groups in northern Lower Juba.
The operation, part of ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability in the country, resulted in the destruction of key militant hideouts and inflicted heavy losses on the insurgents. According to SNA commanders, the forces targeted locations used by the militants as shelters, including a site where they were forcibly extorting civilians under the guise of collecting Zakat al-Fitr.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to eliminating terrorist threats and ensuring the safety of the local population.
