Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mr. Mahmoud Macallin Abdulle, led a delegation that included Dr. Abdullahi Muuse Ahmed, the Director of the Health Department, along with doctors from SoDMA and Madiina Hospital, to Jalalaqsi District in the Hiiraan region today.
The Chairman’s visit focuses on reinforcing humanitarian efforts across the country and assessing the living conditions in the district and surrounding areas. During the visit, he is set to deliver aid, including medical supplies and food, to vulnerable populations, in collaboration with local administration and the Hirshabelle Ministry of Disaster Relief and Management.
The delegation was warmly welcomed at Jalalaqsi Airport by local officials, including MP Maalik Abdalla, District Chairman Mr. Nuur Maxamed Absuge (Nuur Dheere), the General Director of the Hirshabelle Ministry of Disaster Relief and Management, Mr. Cabdifitaax Maxamed Yuusuf, and other dignitaries.
