Commemoration of Yasmiin Foundation’s 14th Anniversary

Mogadishu (SONNA) officials from the Federal Government of Somalia attended the commemoration ceremony of the 14th anniversary of the Yasmiin Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting orphans and disabled individuals.

The event, which took place in Mogadishu, saw the participation of high-profile dignitaries including the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohamed Barre, and MP Prof. Osman Mahmoud Dufle, alongside district governors and the former mayor of Banadir region.

Mohamed Ali Ameerika, the founder of the Yasmiin Foundation, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the extensive efforts and various activities undertaken by the foundation to improve the lives of orphans and disabled persons across Somalia. He shared insights into the foundation’s mission and its impactful initiatives aimed at providing essential services and support to those in need.

The presence of senior government officials at the ceremony emphasized the significant role that the Yasmiin Foundation plays in Somali society. Minister Mohamed Barre and MP Prof. Osman Mahmoud Dufle acknowledged the foundation’s vital contributions, emphasizing how such organizations can enhance the well-being of vulnerable populations and address critical social needs.

The Yasmiin Foundation operates in several districts including Banadir, Afgooye, Warshiikh, and other regions, making substantial efforts to reach and assist those most in need. The foundation’s commitment to improving the lives of orphans and disabled individuals has garnered widespread acclaim and support from both the public and government officials.

As the ceremony concluded, the attendees lauded the achievements of the Yasmiin Foundation over the past 14 years and expressed their hopes for its continued success. The event served as a testament to the collaborative spirit and dedication required to foster a more inclusive and supportive society.
