Istanbul, (SONNA) – Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Salaad Abdi, Commander of the Somali National Army’s Special Forces, is on an official visit to Turkey, where he has held key meetings with senior Turkish military officials.
The visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen military cooperation between Somalia and Turkey. During his trip, Brig. Gen. Hassan Salaad visited the Turkish Special Forces Command and toured the renowned ASELSAN defense industry facility, which is a leading manufacturer of advanced military equipment.
He also held a strategic meeting with Lieutenant General Ömer Ertuğrul Erbakan, Commander of Turkey’s Special Forces, where both sides discussed enhancing bilateral military collaboration and boosting Turkish support for Somali Special Forces.
The visit underscores the growing partnership between the two brotherly nations, with military cooperation playing a vital role in advancing Somalia’s security and capacity-building efforts.
