Civil Aviation Authorities lay down the foundation of Ugaas Khalif Airport in Beledweyne town

Mogadishu(SONNA)-High profile delegation from the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Civil Aviation Authorities and experts on Monday landed at Ugaas Khalif Airport in Beledweyne town in Hiiraan region, SONNA reported.

Governor of Hiiraan region, Ali Jeyte Osman together with  officials welcomed the delegation at the airport and received staff and equipment to development the regional airport there.

The Deputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation of Somalia, Hersi Roble and Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, Ahmed Moallim Hassan laid the the foundation of Ugaas Khalif Airport during their visit.

The Construction and Development project of this Airport comes 45 days after the Kenyan Plane from Djibouti, carrying humanitarian assistance crashed there due to inconvenience.
