Changsha, (SONNA) — Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province in China, this week hosted a major cultural exhibition that brought together a large number of international students, including Somali students studying across the country.
The event, organized by Central South University (CSU), was attended by university officials, invited guests, and students representing more than 40 countries, with Somalia among the participants.
Somali students showcased an impressive traditional dance performance and a diverse array of Somali cultural dishes, which drew significant admiration from attendees. Youth dressed in traditional Somali attire and proudly carrying the national flag delivered a vibrant display that captured the attention of the entire audience. Somalia ranked among the top performers in the exhibition’s evaluations.
Ahmed Abdirahman Ibrahim, Chairman of the Somali Students’ Association in Changsha, said the students had made thorough preparations this year and presented a strong performance that enhanced Somalia’s image. He offered special praise to the Somali female students for their major contribution to the exhibition.
University officials and other international participants expressed their appreciation for the excellent presentation delivered by the Somali students, describing it as an important highlight of the event.
