Mogadishu(SONNA)-Caretaker Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mahdi Mohamed Guled on Tuesday delivered a speech at 75th United Nations General Assembly through virtual session and called global leaders to forge together to find lasting solution to challenges in the world, SONNA reported.
More than 100 world leaders, thousands of diplomats and advocates come together to tackle unprecedented global challenges. The theme for this 75th General Debate is “The future we want, the United Nations we need: reaffirming our collective commitment to multilateralism – confronting COVID-19 through effective multilateral action.”
Mr. Guled said that It was a good time to renew world leaders’s common aspirations, forge together the bright future they want, describing it to be a future without poverty, without conflict and future of sustainability.
Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the United Nations, H.E. Ambassador Abukar Dahir Osman attended today’s historic 75th United Nations General Assembly and chaired the segments of the session as part of his Vice President duties according to the officials.
