Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The football competition of the States of Somalia resumes today after it was put on hold for more than a week where Banadir region faces Jubbaland State.

A written letter from the Somali Football Association said that the games will resume today in Mogadishu Stadium.

The decision to resume was made after the executive committee of the Somali Football Association and the Member States sports association met and made a consensus decision.

The issue that caused the pause to the games was due to the Southwest State of Somalia facing a defeat and then some people started fights and throwing stones at their vehicle.

Today, Hirshabelle State will be given points of forfeit from Southwest State after they quit the games.

The big event today is the game between Banadir region and Jubbaland State at the Mogadishu Stadium, and most of the people are anticipating that Banadir will be the winner not knowing the fantastic players of the Jubbaland, it will be a game to watch.

The cup now has only four teams each competing to become number one or two and go straight to the semi-finals.
