Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Department for Combating Crimes Related to Human Trafficking and Irregular Migration within the Office of the Attorney General held a meeting with the leadership of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Somali Police Force.
The meeting focused on accelerating efforts to combat illegal migration and human trafficking, advancing ongoing investigations, and ensuring that suspects are prosecuted and brought before the justice system. It also emphasized the need for close coordination in bringing offenders involved in irregular migration to legal accountability.
Additionally, the discussion addressed the importance of raising awareness among Somali youth about the dangers of human smuggling and illegal migration, aiming to protect them from its severe consequences.
