Mogadishu(SONNA)-ATMIS Force commander Lt Gen Sam Okiding accompanied by Chief of Staff-Military Brig Gen Kindu Gezu Tegegn visited the ATMIS ENDF troops based in Mahas Forward Operating Base on Tuesday afternoon. The FC congratulated the ENDF troops in Sector 4 for providing the necessary fire support to SNA-led ongoing Operations in Central Somalia. The FC also reiterated troops vigilance and readiness at all times to deny Al-Shabaab freedom of movement and action through maximisation of force protection, vigilance and enhanced Patrols.
The FC emphasised and encouraged the troops to intensify civilian support and protection as well as expand the scope of humanitarian assistance to the locals.
ATMIS is determined to work closely with SNA and provide the necessary support to ensure stability and peace is safeguarded for prosperous and peaceful Somalia as enshrined in our Mission and Mandate.
