Information Minister Visits Mogadishu Port to Boost Interagency Cooperation

Mogadishu (SONNA)-Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdulfatah Qasim Mahmoud, on Saturday visited the Port of Mogadishu, where he was received by the Port's Director General, Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (Americo), and Deputy Directors Eng. Ismail Aw Muse and Dr. Ali Haji.

During the visit, the minister and the Port's leadership discussed strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Information and the Port of Mogadishu, with a focus on enhancing public awareness of the port's vital role in driving Somalia's economic growth, facilitating trade, and delivering services to the Somali people.

The discussions also underscored the importance of closer collaboration among government institutions to promote the development and reputation of the Port of Mogadishu, a key pillar of the country's economy.
