Seoul, SONNA – At the Korea-Africa Summit, Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre engaged in pivotal talks with Chang Won Sam, President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The discussions focused on socio-economic progress and youth skill advancement in Somalia.
Prime Minister Barre highlighted the critical need to invest in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs, noting that over 70% of Somalia’s population is young. He emphasized that such investments are essential for the country’s development.
President Chang affirmed KOICA’s commitment to supporting these initiatives, particularly those that align with Somalia’s modernization efforts.
