Nairobi, (SONNA) — A 5-day training session has kicked off in Kenya focused on identity verification and legal movement of people. It was opened by the DG of National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) Mr. Abdiweli Tima’ade, alongside Mr. Mustafa Sheikh from the Immigration Directorate of Somalia, Mrs. Evelyne Cheluguet from Kenya Immigration, and Muhyaddin Osman from the CID.
Participants include officials from NIRA, Somalia and Kenya’s Immigration Authorities, and the Somali CID. This initiative, supported by Norway, aims to strengthen cooperation among the region in enhancing border security and combating cross-border crimes using modern technology.
