Mogadishu (SONNA) — The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Amb. Mohamed Amin Sheikh Osman, conducted an official inspection visit to the Somali Hajj Affairs Office in Medina to assess services provided to Somali pilgrims.
The visit aimed to evaluate the efficiency and organization of support services for Somali pilgrims currently in Medina. During the tour, the ambassador held meetings with officials from the Hajj Affairs Office to review ongoing operations and coordination efforts.
Ambassador Mohamed Amin commended the quality of services being delivered, reaffirming the Somali government’s commitment to improving and facilitating support for citizens performing the Hajj pilgrimage.
“I highly commend the excellent services being provided to Somali pilgrims. The Government of Somalia remains committed to ensuring that all their needs are met and facilitated,” he stated.
For his part, the Head of the Hajj Affairs Office at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, Dr. Khadar Haji Dahir, expressed appreciation for the ambassador’s visit, emphasizing the importance of such oversight missions in strengthening service delivery.
Meanwhile, the first groups of Somali pilgrims departing from Mogadishu and Hargeisa have arrived in Medina, where they have begun performing the initial rites of the Hajj pilgrimage.
