Mogadishu, SONNA — A high-level ministerial delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia on Tuesday departed Mogadishu for Las Anod, the capital of the Northeastern Regional State of Somalia, as part of ongoing government engagement with regional administrations.
The delegation includes the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, H.E. Ali Hosh; the Minister of Defense, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi; the Minister of Commerce and Industry, H.E. Gamal Hassan; alongside several other cabinet ministers.
In addition to members of the Council of Ministers, the delegation is comprised of representatives from both houses of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, reflecting the significance of the visit and the Federal Government’s inclusive approach to national governance and reconciliation.
The visit to Las Anod is expected to focus on strengthening cooperation between the Federal Government and the Northeastern Regional State, addressing priority governance, security, and development issues, and reinforcing national unity and constitutional order.
The Federal Government of Somalia continues to prioritize direct engagement with regional administrations as part of its broader efforts to consolidate peace, enhance service delivery, and advance state-building across the country.
