Masagawaa, (SONNA) – Commander of the Somali National Army’s Ground Forces, General Sahal Cabdullaahi Cumar, accompanied by former National Intelligence Chief and Somalia’s IMCTC envoy, General Cabdiraxmaan Tuur Yare, and other senior military officers, arrived today in Masagawaa, eastern Galgaduud.
The visit aimed to boost ongoing operations against Al-Shabaab militants and to honor the soldiers who responded heroically to the Ceeldheer district.
General Sahal thanked the troops for their selfless efforts and highlighted their critical role in the recent battle that dealt a heavy blow to the militants.
Three days ago, Somali forces, with local support from Xaq u Dirirka, successfully struck Al-Shabaab positions in Ceeldheer, strengthening security in the district.
