Beijing, (SONNA) — Officials from the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), currently in China for a capacity-building training, today paid an official visit to the Emergency Rescue Center of the Red Cross Society of China.
The visit is part of a wider training program on disaster risk reduction and prevention, designed to strengthen cooperation and enhance Somalia’s expertise in disaster preparedness & response.
During the tour, SoDMA officials were introduced to state-of-the-art emergency rescue equipment, including:
🔹 Emergency rescue vehicles
🔹 Emergency rescue aircraft
🔹 Other critical disaster response tools
This engagement marks an important step in boosting Somalia’s capacity to respond to emergencies while fostering stronger collaboration between SoDMA and global humanitarian institutions.
