Baidoa, (SONNA) – The President of South West State of Somalia, H.E. Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Laftagareen), officially inaugurated newly constructed, modern office buildings for the Ministry of Internal Security and the Ministry of Justice of the South West State.
The inauguration ceremony took place in Baidoa, the administrative capital of the state, and was attended by key federal and state officials, including the Federal Minister of Internal Security, General Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail (Fartaag), the Federal Minister of Justice, H.E. Hassan Maalin, and their respective counterparts in the South West regional government.
Also in attendance were senior representatives from the Federal Government, military officers, civil society members, and officials from the International Organization for Migration (IOM), which supported the project.
The newly completed buildings are expected to significantly improve the operational capacity and public service delivery of both ministries. The project is part of broader efforts by the South West administration to strengthen state institutions and expand access to essential government services.
President Laftagareen emphasized that the development of physical infrastructure is crucial to building a functional, citizen-centered administration. He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to institutional reform and closer collaboration with federal and international partners.
