Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to discuss the strengthening of bilateral ties between Somalia and Qatar.
During the call, the two leaders exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation between their nations and reviewed key regional and global issues of mutual interest. The discussion also touched on Qatar’s continued role in supporting Somalia’s recovery and development efforts.
Qatar remains one of Somalia’s closest Arab allies, playing a vital role in efforts aimed at rebuilding institutions and advancing stability in the Horn of Africa.
