Geneva, Switzerland (SONNA) – The Minister of Environment and Climate Change of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Bashir Mohamed, conducted an official visit to the Somali Embassy in Geneva, Switzerland, where he was warmly received by Ambassador Khadra Ahmed Duale and embassy staff.
During the meeting, Ambassador Duale provided Minister Bashir with a detailed overview of the embassy’s efforts to advance Somalia’s interests in international forums, particularly in enhancing the nation’s role within the United Nations and other global organizations. Discussions focused on strategies to amplify Somalia’s voice on critical environmental and climate change issues.
Minister Bashir commended Ambassador Duale and her team for their dedication to Somalia’s diplomatic mission, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration between the ministry and Somali embassies worldwide. “Strengthening our engagement in international climate discussions is vital for Somalia’s sustainable development and resilience,” the Minister stated.
