Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) extends its commendation to the Puntland Darawiish forces for their ongoing counterterrorism operations targeting ISIS-Affiliated Daesh militants in the Bari region of Puntland State.

The government also acknowledges the vital role of the Puntland people, applauding their unwavering support and solidarity with the courageous forces engaged in these critical operations.

The FGS offers prayers for the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty and for the recovery of those injured. Heartfelt condolences are extended to the families of the martyrs and to all Somalis mourning these brave individuals who gave their lives defending the nation, its people, and its faith.

The fight against ISIS-Affiliated Daesh group and Al-Shabaab is a collective mission for all Somalis. These extremist groups pose a shared threat to the nation, necessitating unity and coordinated efforts to eradicate them completely.

The Federal Government reaffirms its commitment to supporting Somali citizens and local administrations in their efforts to liberate the country from terrorist groups.

With the cooperation and resilience of the Somali people, the government remains steadfast in its mission to eliminate these criminal groups, whose prolonged acts of violence and indiscriminate harm have plagued Somali citizens for far too long.
