Mogadishu(SONNA)-President of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has on Saturday addressed the bicameral Parliament, focusing on Government achievements in the past two years, Ethiopia’s violation into the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country and election models.
The President emphasized that no one should hold positions through indirect elections, reaffirming the government’s dedication to implementing one-person, one-vote elections that truly reflect the will of the people.
The President requested the parliament members not to go for leave and work on election issues, in particular, bills of the electoral commission and parties. Then the Parliament accepted the president’s request.
