MOGADISHU, SOMALIA – In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity, the Somali Minister of Education, Farah Abd Qadir, extended wishes of peace and prosperity to the people of Sudan during an Iftar meeting held at Imam Shafi University in Mogadishu.
The event, which was part of a series of Ramadan gatherings, saw the participation of key figures from the Federal Government, the Union of Universities, and scholars. Notable attendees included the Deputy Minister of Defense Abd Fatah Qasim and the Consul General of the Sudanese Embassy in Somalia, among other dignitaries.
Minister Farah A/qadi, in his address, expressed gratitude towards the Government of Sudan for their significant contribution to the education sector in Somalia, particularly in the training of Somali teachers. He acknowledged the role these educators play in the ongoing development of the nation’s educational framework.
Amidst the backdrop of Sudan’s internal strife, Minister Qadir’s message was one of empathy and hope, urging patience and resilience in the face of adversity.
The meeting also served as a platform for exchanging ideas and engaging in discussions on a range of topics. Key issues such as educational advancement, the strengthening of bilateral relations, and strategies for acquiring advanced curricula and quality teachers were brought to the fore.
