Beledweyn, (SONNA) – A joint airstrike operation by the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) and the Somali National Army (SNA) resulted in the deaths of 48 Al-Shabaab leaders and militants. The operation targeted several locations, including Daarul-Nimca and Al-Kowthar in Middle Shabelle, as well as Beerayabaal in Hiiraan.

In the first operation in Daarul-Nimca, which consisted of two separate airstrikes, 17 Al-Shabaab leaders and militants were killed, and their combat vehicles were destroyed.

The second operation took place in Al-Kowthar, also in Middle Shabelle, where similar tactics were employed. Two airstrikes resulted in the deaths of 19 militants and the destruction of their vehicles.

In the third operation, Al-Shabaab suffered heavy losses in Beerayabaal, Hiiraan. The airstrike killed 12 militants.

The joint efforts by NISA and the SNA aim to eradicate the remaining elements of Al-Shabaab terrorists. These operations will continue until the threat is eliminated.

This series of successful operations underscores the commitment of the Somali security forces to ensuring the safety and stability of the country.
