Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somali National Army killed 30 Al-Shabaab militants and injured 40 others after conducting operation at Qeycad location in southern Mudug region for the past 48 hours.
The Ministry of Information of Somalia said in a statement released Saturday that the two Al-Shabaab commanders, Mohamed Bashir Muse and Madey Fodey were among those killed during the operation in the region.
The group’s strong-holds in the area were also destroyed during the operation according to the statement.
