Jowhar, (SONNA) – President Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Ali Guudlaawe) of Hirshabeelle State, along with the Minister of Youth and Sports for the Somali Federal Government, MP Mohamed Barre Mahmoud, and the Minister of Youth and Sports for Hirshabeelle, Mohamed Hussein Ceynte, have officially launched the Youth and Peace Project.
The project aims to empower the youth of Jowhar in their roles in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and management of natural resources like land and water. It is a collaborative effort involving the Somali Government, Hirshabeelle, IOM, and FAO.
MP Mohamed Barre Mahmoud praised President Ali Guudlaawe for providing opportunities to the youth and for the visible commitment of his administration.
“Youth are the strength of Hirshabeelle and are the reason for the struggle, peace, and development,” he stated.
Lastly, President Ali Guudlaawe expressed his gratitude to Minister Mohamed Barre for his dedication to the youth and for extending his efforts to Hirshabeelle.
