Mogadishu, (SONNA) – Units of the Gorgor forces of the Somali National Army arrived at Ras Kamboni area in the Lower Juba region in a move to accelerate and enhance military operations in eliminating the remnants of the Al-Shabaab terrorists.
The commander of the 18th Battalion of the Gorgor, Colonel Hassan Adam Mohamed “Hassan Iraqi”, spoke about the importance of the Ras Kamboni area, where the armed forces there will intensify their combat efforts to pursue the terrorists.
The National Army is preparing to take full responsibility of security by 2025, following the withdrawal of the “ATMIS” forces from the country.
