United States urges FMS leaders to avoid delays to conduct fair-free elections

Mogadishu (SONNA): U.S Embassy in Somalia stated in a tweet today on Wednesday urging all FMS leaders to avoid any further delays in the implementation of the electoral process to conduct fair-free elections in the country to avoid any political turmoil that will threaten the country's stability, SONNA reported.

This comes in reply to the recent meeting of Somalia's international donors with Federal Election Implementation Team, State Electoral Implementation Teams and Election Dispute Resolution Committee officials, discussing electoral work completed to date and underscored need for credible and widely-accepted process.
