Jeddah (UNA) – The Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) welcomed the decision issued by the 20th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) regarding the resumption of the membership of the Syrian Arab Republic in the organization.
The Union appreciated this decision, which reflects the organization’s keenness to support Syria during the current period, in a way that contributes to the stability of the country and its return as an active member in its Islamic and Arab environment.
The Union commended the efforts of the member states in supporting the Syrian Republic, particularly the host country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has consistently provided various forms of political and humanitarian support to the Syrian people as part of its commitment to achieving regional and international stability and security.
