Mogadishu, Somalia (SONNA) – The Banadir Regional Court has taken into custody Ertugrul Karafiyeli, a Turkish national and human resource manager at Favori, following allegations of misconduct and abuse.
The Office of the Public Prosecutor presented charges against Karafiyeli, accusing him of immorality, threats, abuse, and abuse of power towards Somali employees working for Favori. The Attorney General’s office emphasized that these actions are in clear violation of Somalia’s labor regulations and standards of conduct.
In a press release, the Attorney General’s office stated, “The court, after reviewing the preliminary evidence provided, has ordered the temporary detention of the accused.”
