Baidoa, (SONNA) – President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen of Southwest State of Somalia visited the frontlines of the ongoing conflict today to encourage armed forces engaged in the national effort to liberate the country from extremists.
The President held a private meeting with senior military commanders, receiving a briefing on the security situation, successes achieved in the fight, and existing challenges. He thanked the troops for their courage and self-sacrifice in defending the nation.
President Laftagareen’s visit to the frontlines serves as a morale boost and demonstrates South West State’s commitment to defending the country and caring for the soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the nation and the Somali people.
