MOGADISHU, SOMALIA – The National Commission for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (NCRI) has raised the alarm over impending heavy rainfall, which poses a significant flood risk to several cities across Somalia.
The alert, issued by the NCRI, specifically targets the urban areas of Beledweyne, Buale, Garbaharey, and Baydhabo, where the downpour is expected to commence within the next eight days. The commission has expressed concerns regarding the potential impact and challenges that may arise as a result of the forecasted weather conditions.
Authorities are urging residents in the mentioned cities to exercise caution and prepare for the anticipated floods.
