Riyadh, SONNA — A delegation from Somalia’s Immigration and Citizenship Agency took part in the Riyadh Symposium on Women’s Leadership in Security Sectors held in Saudi Arabia. The event gathered 96 female leaders from 13 Arab nations, focusing on empowering women in security roles, tackling cultural barriers, and enhancing international cooperation.
The symposium highlighted the growing role of women in security sectors across the Arab world, fostering discussions on leadership opportunities, gender equality, and strategies to strengthen women’s participation in security and law enforcement fields. Somalia’s participation underscores its commitment to advancing women’s leadership and enhancing regional security cooperation.
