Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Office of the Auditor General of the Federal Government of Somalia has introduced a new framework aimed at enhancing the implementation and monitoring of audit recommendations across government institutions.
The newly launched procedure aligns with Articles 5(8) and 9(4) of the Auditor General’s Act (Law No. 14 of 2023).
The key objectives of this new framework are:
✔️ To ensure the effective implementation of recommendations issued by the Auditor General or those proposed by federal government leaders and endorsed by relevant government bodies, including those specifically submitted by Parliament to the Auditor General’s Office.
✔️ To establish a consistent and systematic approach to tracking the progress of recommendation implementation.
✔️ To provide Parliament, the public, and other stakeholders with transparent and reliable information.
This initiative marks a significant step towards fostering genuine accountability and laying the foundation for sound financial management and good governance.
