Cairo, SONNA – Somalia’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Ali Abdi Awaare, welcomed the Secretary of the Egyptian Presidency, Mohamed Yahya, to his office today.
During the visit, Ambassador Awaare received a congratulatory message from President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, addressed to the Government and people of Somalia, on the occasion of the 1st of July.
In a reciprocal gesture, Ambassador Awaare handed over a message from President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud to Secretary Yahya, congratulating the Egyptian government and people on the 11th anniversary of the June 30 revolution.
Ambassador Awaare emphasized the longstanding relationship of cooperation and brotherhood between the governments of Egypt and Somalia, reaffirming the strong bilateral ties and mutual respect shared by the two nations.
