SOMALIA PRIME MINISTER HOSTS HIGH LEVEL UN AND AU DELEGATIONS

Mogadishu(SONNA)– The prime minister of The Federal Republic of Somalia H.E. Hassan Ali Khyre has received high level delegation from the United nation and the African Union at his office. The two delegations are in the country for an official visit.
The UN delegation was led by the vice secretary General of the United Nations Mrs. Amina Mohamed while the African Union delegation was led by Mrs. Bineta Diop. The two officials held talks with the Somali prime minister. The prime minister was accompanied by the minister of women and human rights and other officials who warmly received the high-level delegation.
The meeting was very productive and topics discussed include promoting peace in the country, resolving differences within, and increasing the role of women in politics and development programs.
The visiting delegation recognized the governments efforts in improving security and increasing women participation in decision making. They thanked the prime mi9nister Hassan Ali Khyre and his team for the warm reception and the hospitality they received while in the country.
