Doha (SONNA) – The Somali national football team delivered a spirited and determined performance this afternoon in their FIFA Arab Cup 2025 qualifier against Oman, held at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha, Qatar. Despite dominating long stretches of the match and displaying exceptional teamwork, Somalia suffered an undeserved defeat decided by penalties.

The match ended 0–0 in regular time, with the Ocean Stars showcasing resilience, skill, and composure throughout the game. A large crowd of enthusiastic fans filled the stadium, offering strong encouragement and uplifting the players with continuous support from the stands.

With both sides unable to break the deadlock during the 90 minutes, the match proceeded to a penalty shootout. Oman secured a 4–1 victory, advancing in the competition while Somalia exits despite an impressive display on the pitch.
