Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, held a high-level meeting with a delegation from Switzerland led by Ambassador Patricia Danzi, Director General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation here in the capital Mogadishu Tuesday.
The Swiss delegation included Ambassador Philipp Stalder, Director of Africa at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs; Ambassador Mirko Giulietti, Head of Mission and Permanent Representative of the Embassy of Switzerland; and Ms. Martina Durrer, Regional Head of International Cooperation for the Horn of Africa.
Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key priority areas, including federalism, stabilization, national reconciliation, and local governance. Both sides exchanged views on advancing Somalia’s state-building agenda and enhancing the delivery of public services at the local level.
The meeting reaffirmed the strong partnership between Somalia and Switzerland, with both parties underscoring their shared commitment to continued collaboration in support of peacebuilding, inclusive governance, and sustainable development across Somalia.
