Khartoum (SONNA): The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Federal Government of Somalia, His Excellency Abdirashid Muhammad Ahmed, signed a cooperation agreement with the Sudanese Minister of Energy and Mining, Adel Ali Ibrahim.
The minister led a two-day official visit to Sudan,visiting some of the mining companies in the capital, Khartoum, where he held meetings with top officials of those companies.
During his visit, the Minister briefed the companies he visited on the readiness of Somalia to exploit its natural resources, especially in the field of oil and mining.
The signing ceremony was attended by Somalia Ambassador to Sudan His Excellency Mohamed Sheikh Isak, the General counsel Mr. Osman Ahmed Mohamed, and the Commercial Attaché to the Embassy, Mr. Yusuf Jeegow.
