RIYADH (SONNA) – The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Mohamed Abdulkadir Ali, held an important meeting in Riyadh with his counterpart, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.R.H. Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal.
The high-level meeting concluded with the signing of a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) designed to bolster cooperation in sports infrastructure and youth development.
The agreement specifically outlines a partnership for the reconstruction of sports stadiums in Somalia, a crucial step in rebuilding the nation’s athletic facilities. Additionally, the MoU focuses on the development and implementation of programs for youth skills advancement and job creation, addressing key national priorities for Somalia.
Minister Ali is currently in the Saudi capital on an official visit. His agenda also includes a series of strategic meetings with other counterpart ministers from various Arab League nations to strengthen relations and enhance cooperation in the youth and sports sectors across the region.
