Mogadishu (SONNA)-Somali Special Forces (DANAB) successfully liberated Jilib and Gendershe areas in lower Shebelle region from Al-Shabaab militant group on Monday today, SONNA reported.
Special forces Commander of the 16th Division, Ismail Abdimalik Malin told the state media that the forces killed two senior Al-Shabaab militants during the military operation in the region.
He added that the military operation was well planned aiming at eliminating the presence of Al-Shabaab militants in the region.
